Filters option to "show only affected files"

Postby mattk » Wed May 27, 2026 3:49 am

Doesn't have to be a filters option, but I deal with long lists of files, and I want to know if any files actually caught by the rename rules. Would be nice to just click in one place and it only show the ones that would be changed from the whole list.

Currently I have to scroll up and down looking for green highlighted files in the New Name column.

I found I can do Display Options > Sorting > Group Affected Files, but it's a lot of steps to do it over and over again because it doesn't auto re-sort if I change the criteria. Once the option is on, it should automatically put all the files that would be changed up the top and it should be "live".

Another column like "Status" could work.

Crtl+9 will limit the list to those affected by the renaming criteria.

Preview, also only show items which are affected.

Both great options - thanks!

@TheGhost78 what is CTRL+9 actually a shortcut for? I couldn't find it in the menu anywhere or the help file. So I couldn't figure out how to turn it off!
