copy/move renamed files&directories to new drive

Postby jadesakura » Thu Jul 14, 2016 2:21 am

I would like to create my own backup file system by using the Rename Move/Copy to a Different Drive. That way I can maintain a complete duplicate of my HD on another Hard Drive. I don't trust any of the commercial applications or MS versions. I'm thinking I can boot to a command prompt in safe mode to avoid any Access Denied warnings. Unless you HIGHLY RECOMMEND a specific commercial product that can accomplish this.

I'm not following?
You want to backup an existing HDD onto another?

And you want to use BRU to do so?

Sorry, but a "rename" utility (like BRU) is not the right utility to do that.

I don't trust any of the commercial applications or MS versions.

And yet you use what OS, made by whom?
And those applications that you do trust & use, run on what OS, & avoid interacting with that OS how?

If you really distrust MS, then you really need to pursue a different OS.

(At the moment I am quit pissed of at MS, & am really thinking of writing... "An Open Letter To MS", with the content being two words, one the begins with F & the other with Y. My good nature may keep me from doing that. But then there is that other side of me, & it is quite boiling.)
