Like Your1Self, I am also running Windows 7 (Home Edition 64x bit) and when I right-click on a file in Windows Explorer, the "Bulk Rename Here" option does not appear in the drop-down context menu.
However, like Lilien posted before, all that appears to be missing is the file "BRUhere.dll", which is available in the version 2.7.0.3 of BRU:
32-bit = BRU_Setup_WinNTx86.exe (Windows NT/2000/XP/2003/Vista)
64-bit = BRU_Setup_WinNTx64.exe (Windows XP 64-bit/2003 64-bit/Vista 64-bit)
As Adsis pointed out earlier, all you have to do is:
1. Uninstall the most recent version of BRU (2.7.1.1)
2. Download and install the build of V.2.7.0.3 that matches your OS:
-NOTE: If you are running a 64-bit platform, then the install might state that it will install in: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Bulk Rename Utility\" folder -- the default location where 32-bit programs are installed. However, it will actually install it in "C:\Program Files\Bulk Rename Utility" folder -- the default location where 64-bit programs are installed. If so, then this is a good thing, because...
3. Re-install the BRU-64bit V. 2.7.1.1. It will auto-detect and over-write the program in the "C:\Program Files\Bulk Rename Utility" folder; however, it will leave BRUhere.dll intact.
This way, you get the 2.7.1.1 64-bit program as well as the context menu option from the prior version. And yes, after the re-install, I confirmed that the version number changed from 2.7.0.3 to 2.7.1.1.
Hope this helps,
